Peach Gxrls x Hexercise with Mademoiselle (DE), Matas (US), Soft Pxrn, djGEM

This Saturday 06.06, something trance-adjacent and gloriously unruly is taking over Jolene, as Peach Gxrls and Hexercise bring their combined sensibility to Kødbyen. Two of our favourite curators and DJs in town, djGEM & Soft Pxrn, inviting two respected artists from NYC and Berlin for a night of genre fluid mayhem.

Both Peach Gxrls and Hexercise have built their respective followings around a refusal to be pinned down — their arsenal drawing just as much from progressive house, euphoric and deep trance, percussive techno and a lot more.

Setting the room in motion is Soft Pxrn, Peach Gxrls founder and a known face to Jolene regulars under the slower-burning alias of peachlyfe, a name familiar to the global techno and trance scene. Where peachlyfe runs fast and loud, Soft Pxrn goes inward — progressive house structures, melodic trance pressure, hypnotic rave euphoria. The 2024 album Permission to Roam on UMAY is the clearest statement of where this project lives.

Matas comes from deep inside New York's underground — a regular at Nowadays, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and Basement, the kind of career built through years on floors as much as behind decks. His sets move between atmospheric ease and sharp, rolling percussion, and he's shared bills with DVS1 and Roza Terenzi. That context tells you what you need to know.

London-born, Berlin-based, and founder of the increasingly popular Iterations event and mix series, she's a dedicated digger whose sets braid trance, techno, and house into something genre-fluid and kinetic. The reference points are rooted in the 90s and early 00s — old-school architecture, new-school interpretation — and the results are playful, tripped-out, and relentlessly driving. Her recent Unfold live recording is a good place to get acquainted.


djGem brings her radio concept Hexercise for the first time to Jolene. Finally, we may add! 
The Copenhagen-based, South African-born artist works in what she calls dancefloor psychedelia — inter-genre, trance-threaded, and atmospheric. Expect a gradual pull toward something deeper.
