The Vancouver progressive metal force has carved out a national reputation with crushing musicianship, sprawling atmosphere, and ultra heavy stoner grooves. Their 2016 album Voice of the Void won the 2018 JUNO Award for Heavy Metal Album of the Year, and their 2024 album Beyond the Reach of the Sun earned them another JUNO win in 2025 for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year. That makes The Anciients not just a headliner, but a two-time JUNO-winning wrecking crew bringing national-calibre firepower to Prince George.
