Poesiomat v Gulliverovi aneb Čtení o vzducholodích

To celebrate its 10th birthday, the Gulliver airship on the roof of DOX has received its very own Poesiomat, or “poetry machine”! Visitors are invited to come and listen to live readings of short stories, poems, letters, and diaries by those who once fell in love with the charm of airships, whether as passengers or simply as enchanted landlubbers.

How did German writer Hermann Hesse experience his first air voyage in 1911, and how did British novelist D. H. Lawrence capture the view of an airship over wartime London at night? How did the captains of these aerial giants experience piloting them over the pyramids or the North Pole in the 1930s? And how did the airship Gulliver itself, perched on the roof of DOX, inspire Czech writers? The Poesiomat on board the airship Gulliver will serve as a repository for all these (and future) stories, which you, as visitors, will be able to listen to at any time. However, you’ll only be able to experience live readings by well-known actors during this one evening. Don’t miss it—come fly with us.
