Portraits and Poetry Workshop
Join us for an engaging Portraits and Poetry Workshop hosted by the talented Teresa Caliari! Dive into the rich history of Sailors' Snug Harbor as we explore the lives of sailors through captivating portraits.
In this hands-on experience, we'll journey through the museum, delving into the expressions of the portraits and uncovering their stories. You'll also have the chance to see the We Who are Weary exhibit, which showcases photographs of every sailor who once called this place home. 🖼️
After learning about the history behind these portraits, capture your own likeness in a Snug style photo and personalize a frame to make your creation truly yours! 🖌️
To wrap up the afternoon, we'll engage in some reflective writing. Using creative prompts, you'll pen a short memoir or poem inspired by the unique faces and stories you've encountered throughout the day. ✍️
