Pre-Beta Design Crit [In-Person, Monthly]

Welcome to Pre-Beta Club! This is a community space for those eager to prototyping digital ideas—be it a website, app, AI tool, or something innovative and new.

The focus here isn’t on polished launches but rather on the messy, exciting 'what if?' stage of creation.

We aim to gather and share progress, test little experiments, and encourage one another to keep pushing forward. My hope is for everyone to arrive with curiosity and joy in co-creating, leaving with the notion that they’re not building alone.

✨ What to Expect

✔️ Each gathering will feature a lightly structured yet flexible format.

✔️ We’ll kick off with quick introductions and allow members to share their current projects or any hurdles they're facing.

✔️ After that, we’ll rotate through themed activities—such as sketching ideas, testing prototypes together, or exchanging feedback in pairs—along with unstructured conversation time.

✔️ Some sessions may spotlight a member’s work for group feedback, while others may focus on quiet coworking or brainstorming sprints.

✔️ The constant will be an atmosphere of support, momentum, and playful experimentation.

🎒 What to Know or Bring

✔️ Bring a notebook or laptop if you prefer.

✔️ Most importantly, a half-baked idea that you're excited to develop!

✔️ Curiosity and openness are essential; perfection is not!

About Your Host

I’m Marc, a product designer and facilitator based in Seattle, with two decades of experience in bringing ideas to life—starting in startups and global tech companies, and now collaborating with founders and creatives in the early stages of their journeys.

Throughout my career, I've found that creating something new is rarely a direct route; it’s more of an expedition where energy, encouragement, and perspective hold as much value as tools or skills.

As a host, I aim to create a consistent space where participants can show up with their half-formed ideas, doubts, and find the spark of possibility. I believe in the magic that happens when we come together to try, fail, and learn. By holding this intentional space, I hope to cultivate both creative momentum and a sense of belonging.
