Public Hearing: Our Water, Wastewater & Micron's PFAS Onondaga County Public Hearing
Join us for an important public hearing concerning Central New York's largest infrastructure project! 💧 Micron's $100 billion chip fabrication facility is set to discharge PFAS — harmful "forever chemicals" linked to serious health issues like cancer and thyroid disease.
👉 This project threatens the drinking water of 500,000 Central New Yorkers, with potential impacts reaching 3 million along the St. Lawrence River.
The DEC has approved a discharge permit with zero enforceable PFAS limits, and the treatment plant for Micron's waste is yet to be designed. 🏭
Your voice matters! Come pack the room and send a loud message that we care about our water and environment. I'll be presenting evidence directly from the permit and want to see our community united!
Location: 447 S Salina St, Syracuse, NY 13202-2417, United States
