Rest in Resonance: An Immersive Spatial Sound Experience
Rest in Resonance
Immersive Spatial Sound Bath (24-Channel Experience)
As an alternative to another night out, this is an invitation to return inward.
To reclaim space for space… and time for time.
To enter a refuge of resonance.
In a moment when many of us are navigating overwhelm, anxiety, grief, and uncertainty, the cultivation of inner steadiness becomes an act of care. Hope becomes something worth cultivating and nurturing. Rest in Resonance offers a pause, a space to regulate the nervous system, reconnect with imagination, and soften the intensity of the present moment.
This immersive sound journey has been composed specifically for a 24-channel spatial audio environment, where sound moves around and through the body, creating a deeply enveloping field of listening. Organic instruments, including flutes and ocarinas, interweave with subtle electronic textures, forming a landscape that is both grounding and expansive.
Somewhere between a sound meditation and a performance, the experience invites participants to travel through the rivers of emotion with gentleness and curiosity. Through the interplay of frequency, vibration, and silence, a space of timelessness emerges: supporting reflection, embodiment, and belonging.
Within this listening field, there is permission:
to slow down
to feel
to release
to imagine
This container is designed to support that process with care.
Rest in Resonance is a collective reset: an opportunity to listen deeply to ourselves, to each other, and to the subtle harmonies that become audible when we allow ourselves to rest.
Artist: Orlando Villarraga
Orlando Villarraga is a sound artist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work explores sound as a medium for connection, presence, and care. Operating at the intersection of culture, meditation, and awareness, his practice centers on creating immersive sound environments and group experiences that support introspection, emotional regulation, and shared belonging.
Drawing from training in ancient, earth-based Indigenous practices alongside contemporary sound science, Orlando weaves a plethora of organic and electronic textures into immersive sonic environments designed for embodied feeling. His soundscapes function as portals: spaces where listeners can slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with themselves and the living world.
At the heart of his practice is a commitment to authenticity: prioritizing emotional presence, and relational connection over spectacle or abstraction. Through the integration of sound, poetry, and meditation practices, his offerings function as spaces of refuge, rest, and renewal for individuals and communities alike.
Through resonance, he builds bridges between past, present, and future; inviting deeper listening, honest relationship, and a renewed sense of connection within the greater web of life.
