Shut Up and Write - In-person at Sana'a Cafe! - Monday Nights

We're excited to dive back into our writing routines in person for the first time since the pandemic! 🎉 The beloved Shut Up and Write, previously hosted at Crossroads Café in SF, now resides at Sana'a Cafe, located at 199 New Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94105.

Join us at our new cozy spot where you can enjoy delightful Yemenite coffee, tea, chai, iced chocolate, and a variety of tasty pastries to satisfy your writer's cravings while you get into your flow. ☕🥐 Remember to stop at the table with the "Shut Up & Write" sign upon arrival so we can welcome you! 😊

All styles of writing are welcome—be it poetry, prose, nonfiction, academic work, comedy, or tragedy. Whether it's homework or grunt work, everything is better with drinks, snacks, and the camaraderie of fellow writers motivating you. Please note, we’re not a critique group—no unsolicited advice here! 🙅‍♀️

Here's our schedule for the evening:

• 6:30 PM - Introductions and Chat
• 6:40 PM - Write! ✍️
• 7:50 PM - Check-In and Head Out

Attendance is free, but please consider purchasing a drink or snack during the session to help us feel welcome in this lovely cafe. And if you want to keep the writing momentum going, Sana'a Cafe is open until 10:00 PM! 🌙
