Social Theatre Circle with Remi

🌻 Tender Loving Queer proudly presents the Social Theatre Circle, an engaging eight-week workshop series led by Remi Tawoshe.

Through Forum Theatre and participatory performance, we'll come together to delve into lived experiences, everyday challenges, and the systems around us. This is a space for discussion, improvisation, scene-building, and collective reflection aimed at boosting confidence, fostering a sense of belonging, and envisioning alternative approaches to conflict, exclusion, and harm.

✨ No acting experience is required! 🌈 This inclusive gathering is open to all, with a special welcome for queer, trans, and BIPOC participants.

Forum Theatre is an interactive approach birthed within the Theatre of the Oppressed. Rather than merely observing, participants are encouraged to step in, question, and collaboratively rehearse various scenarios. This method provides a hands-on and creative venue to examine identity, power, communication, exclusion, and belonging.

✨ Meet Your Facilitator
Remi Tawoshe, a Nigerian-born multidisciplinary artist and theatre practitioner, has deep roots in Bristol and is currently based in Malmö. With over two decades of experience, his work spans theatre, film, education, youth engagement, social enterprise, and community-led creative practice.
