Tamale-Making Demonstration & Tasting
Join us for a delightful culinary journey where we celebrate the art of traditional tamale making! 🌟 This engaging demonstration will teach you the vital techniques for crafting tamales, including:
- Proper masa hydration and preparation 🥙
- An overview of red sauce creation 🍅
- Savory meat fillings 🌶️
Participants will be guided step-by-step on how to assemble tamales from beginning to end. The first 20–30 attendees will even have the chance to make their own tamales! 🎈
While our tamales are steaming, we’ll show you how to whip up fresh chimichurri and salsa fresca. 🥗 At the end of the session, freshly steamed tamales will be served—one per person for the first 60 attendees! You can choose between two tantalizing varieties:
- Cheese & Green Chile (vegetarian) 🌱
- Chicken with Red Sauce 🍗
Come ready to learn, taste, and indulge in this warm and flavorful experience led by Marissa Bryson from the Salt and Light Collective. 🙌
