The shoegaze duo TELEPHONIST, formed by Dennis Mielke and Oskar Middelhauve, aims to carve a unique niche in the music scene with their German lyrics. Their debut EP, “Gegen die Wand”, released on December 5 via Porcupine Records, showcases a melancholic sound inspired by bands like DIIV, Duster, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, and Slowdive. The EP features five poignant tracks reflecting urban frustrations and life's challenges.

Based in Berlin, Efka Mott draws inspiration from artists such as Arthur Russel, Lou Reed, and Jessica Pratt.
