About the Author:

Deana Weibel, Ph.D. is a cultural anthropologist at Grand Valley State University, specializing in exploration and awe. Her extensive research includes interviews with astronauts and space professionals. Dr. Weibel also serves as chair of the Chicago/Great Lakes Chapter of The Explorers Club and co-organizes the annual Roger That! event in Grand Rapids, celebrating space exploration and STEM.
