About the Exhibition:

UNSTRUCK MELODY is a collaborative endeavor between British-born Canadian artist Nirbhai (nep) Singh Sidhu and without SHAPE without FORM, first presented as part of the 2023 London Design Festival at V&A South Kensington.

The exhibition intricately weaves together art and Sikh teachings through the interconnected practices of Simran (focused practice for the mind), Seva (selfless service), and Sangat (community gathering). Each artwork invites visitors on a transformative journey of the mind.

The title, inspired by Anhad Shabad, or the ‘unstruck melody’, represents an inner sound within Sikh philosophy, serving as a gateway to deeper awareness and knowledge through profound listening and focused practice. Simran is presented as an essential tool for clearing thoughts and fostering clarity, peace, and connection.
