Vocal Sound Bath by Ritual feat. m.reau

If you don't know Pieter Performance Space, they are a Black & Queer-led space for artistic liberation. They're a rock in the community for independent teachers, organizers, and artists. Unfortunately they are experiencing a decrease in grant funding, the very thing that helps them keep their space accessible. So we are throwing this event to contribute to their bigger fundraising efforts.
What you'll experience:
We have been preparing an improvised set of music that will be going non stop for the full two hours. This includes our voices plus some percussive help from our dear friend m.reau.
When you arrive, you will have the opportunity to grab some tea from the tea station and enter the space in complete silence. The main room will have a strict no speaking policy until the end of the event. This means, we won't be speaking to each other or to you. We ask that you silence your phones or strongly encourage phones to be turned off. You'll be invited lay down, meditate, journal, read, or draw. This is a space for you to shut off outside noise momentarily and be present.
What to bring:
Feel free to wear some comfy clothes, bring a blanket, and we also suggest you bring your own mug to reduce waste. You're welcome to bring a book to read, your journal, or just yourself.
Parking:
There is a parking lot behind the building and street parking. Both are free on Sundays.
