Volunteer: West Branch Housatonic River Cleanup

Join the Berkshire Environmental Action Team (BEAT) and the Housatonic Valley Association (HVA) for an impactful river cleanup along the West Branch of the Housatonic River! 🧤

📅 Date: Saturday, July 25
⏰ Time: 9 AM - Noon
📍 Location: Westside Riverway Park, 185 Dewey Ave, Pittsfield

Help us collect trash and debris from the riverbanks and riverbed using canoes. A delicious free lunch from a local restaurant will be provided to all volunteers! 🍽️

What to Bring:

• Old clothes
• Hat
• Sunscreen
• Old sneakers or waterproof boots/waders
• Full water bottle
• Sunglasses

A limited number of waders will be available to borrow. Be prepared to get wet and dirty!

Important Notes:

• If there’s pouring rain or lightning, the cleanup will be postponed to Saturday, August 22.
• Your participation helps significantly improve the health of the Housatonic River; over the years, volunteers have collected a staggering variety of debris, making a visible difference.
