Founded in 1982 in Los Angeles, W.A.S.P. has become known for its controversial lyrics and theatrical performances, including raw meat, chainsaws, and pyrotechnics. Throughout the 1980s, they became a symbol of free expression in heavy metal amidst backlash from conservative groups. Iconic albums like "The Last Command" (1985), "Inside the Electric Circus" (1986), and "The Headless Children" (1989) cemented their global popularity, especially while touring with bands like Iron Maiden, Slayer, and Saxon. And of course, it all began with their masterpiece "W.A.S.P." (1984), which the Belgrade audience got to know well last July.
