
Woodland Historic Tour
Explore the rich history of Woodland Cemetery, founded in 1841, recognized as one of the oldest rural cemeteries in the United States. 🏺 Discover the final resting places of iconic figures including the Wright Brothers, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Erma Bombeck, and many more notable Daytonians.
Meeting Point: Eichelberger Plaza at the cemetery's main gates. Parking available both inside and outside the gates. 🚗
What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle. 💧
Weather Policy: Tours will proceed rain or shine, except in cases of thunder or lightning. ⛈️
Reservations: All tours require a reservation. A suggested donation of $5 is appreciated, helping to support the Woodland Arboretum Foundation in its mission to restore and preserve this cultural gem of Dayton. 🌍
