Words for My Father Poetry Workshop

Join us for Words for My Father, a heartfelt poetry workshop hosted by Poetry for the Masses in collaboration with the fantastic non-alcoholic bottle shop, Burden of Proof.

This workshop invites participants to delve into the rich and varied relationships with their fathers—whether they be complex, loving, or absent. Through thoughtful poetry prompts and engaging discussions, we’ll explore how language can help honor our memories and articulate emotions that are often difficult to convey.

We welcome you to share experiences beyond just father figures to include mentors and ancestors as well.

📚 Alejandra Roggero - a graduate of Whittier College and author of four prose and poetry collections, including The Town and La Matriarca. A founder of Poetry for the Masses, Alejandra strives to inspire readers deeply. She'll be our guide as we explore our poetic voices together!
