Write In!

🚨 Important Location Note: We won't be meeting in the lobby; it's simply the available option for our location. Please head to the 7th floor (accessible via Elevator A) and walk back to the register with the pizza oven to find us at one or both of the long rectangular tables.

Founded in November 2016, our group started as a Nanowrimo write-in group, gathering for a month and deciding to continue meeting thereafter. We focus on our individual writing but enjoy engaging in word wars, sprints, and occasional prompts! Initially, we convened at OBA Amsterdam but later transitioned to Scheltema—a perfect venue with ample tables, a mix of comfy and not-so-comfy chairs, power outlets, internet access, and coffee. Unfortunately, Covid closed Scheltema for us.

Now, we're back at our original spot in the Central Library in Amsterdam! Join us on the 7th floor in the restaurant area near the hot food pickup point at one or both of the big rectangular tables. To find us, take Elevator A (located up the steps to your right upon entrance) to the 7th floor. Walk straight past the first register and buffet until you reach the hot food pickup point. We write together for 1.5 hours before heading out for drinks.
