Die in Rom lebende Mary Gehnyei hat gerade die dritte Ausgabe von Donatos Sublabel Afterhouse bestritten, deren vier perkussiven Minimalhouse-Tracks jene spezifischen, neblig-hypnotischen Texturen enthalten, für die das Label bekannt ist.

With his classical background, Dozzy cultivates a passion for texture that is almost academic, something often reflected in his ambient projects or the polyrhythmic structures of Voices From The Lake. For the launch of his new club night at Panorama Bar, he has invited two DJs – Fred P and Mary Gehnyei – who share his penchant for depth in music. Fred Peterkin, a leading figure of the New York school, embodies a style of deep house with a certain spirituality. Under his pseudonym Black Jazz Consortium, he combines futuristic synth pads with a melancholic vibe rarely found in the contemporary club scene. Rome-based Mary Gehnyei has just put out the third release of Donato’s sublabel Afterhouse, whose four percussive minimal house tracks feature the specific, hazy, hypnotic textures that the label is known for.
