Klubnacht

Der Amsterdamer Rosati hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren mit Veröffentlichungen auf Labels wie Dolly, und seinem eigenen Global Pulse profiliert. Statt sich auf rein synthetische Texturen zu verlassen, integriert Rosati auf seiner aktuellen EP Divina Nostalgia auf Fuse Imprint analoge Instrumentierung, von echten Bassläufen bis hin zu Rhodes-Akkorden, bricht damit die kühle Funktionalität des Techno auf und ersetzt sie durch eine organische Dynamik, die eher an die Detroiter Schule als an europäische Härte erinnert. Seine Herangehensweise, Inspiration auch aus anderen musikalischen Bereichen zu schöpfen, führt zu einem Klangbild, das Dub-Elemente und komplexe Perkussion als erzählerisches Element begreift. Rosati performt zu dieser Klubnacht live im Berghain. Zum zweiten Mal spielt der in Goa ansässige, indische DJ und Producer Dotdat im Club. Fernab von regionalen Klischees operiert Dotdat an der Schnittstelle von hypnotischer Dichte und detroit-affiner Groovigkeit. Auf Labels wie Symbolism oder Truncate (mit dem er auch kollaborierte) zeigt er eine Vorliebe für reduzierte, aber physisch präsente Rhythmik, die auf unnötige Effekthascherei verzichtet. In der Panorama Bar kommt unter anderem Claude VonStroke aus Los Angeles, der bei seinem letzten (Comeback-)Gig im letzten Sommer bewiesen hat, dass er den Dancefloor immer noch auf korrekteste Weise auseinandernehmen kann.

Over the past few years, Amsterdam-based Rosati has made a name for himself with releases on labels such as Dolly and his own Global Pulse. On his latest EP Divina Nostalgia, released on Fuse Imprint, Rosati integrates analog instrumentation – from real basslines to Rhodes chords – instead of relying solely on synthetic textures, breaking down techno’s cool functionality and replacing it with an organic dynamic that evokes the Detroit school rather than European harshness. His approach of drawing inspiration from other musical genres results in a soundscape with dub elements and complex percussion as narrative devices. For this edition of Klubnacht, Rosati will perform live at Berghain. Goa-based Indian DJ/producer Dotdat will make his second appearance here. Far removed from regional clichés, Dotdat operates at the intersection of hypnotic density and Detroit-inspired groove. On labels like Symbolism and Truncate (with whom he has also collaborated), he demonstrates a preference for minimal yet physically present rhythms that do away with unnecessary showmanship. Panorama Bar will host the likes of Claude VonStroke from Los Angeles, who proved at his comeback gig last summer that he can still tear up the dancefloor in the most authentic way.
