Om evenemanget
Explore the rich history of the Olêder settlement at the Olêder Ethnographic Park in Wielka Nieszawka, the first open-air museum in Poland dedicated to this unique cultural heritage. 🌾
Originally established by Protestant Mennonites from the Netherlands and Friesland in the 16th century, this settlement flourished in the tolerant Kingdom of Poland. The park beautifully recreates a fragment of the Vistula River village culture from the late 19th to early 20th centuries.
👨🌾 Discover the meticulously reconstructed Olêder village layout, featuring:
- Three complete homesteads with six historic residential and farm buildings 🏡
- A cemetery, all dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries
- Surroundings of cultivated fields, meadows, gardens, and orchards 🌳
Stroll through paths lined with fruit trees and willows, immersing yourself in a vibrant landscape that honors the architectural legacy of the Olender settlers.
📍 Location: ul. Mennonitów 14
