Join us for the Girls Gone Hiking Summer Backpacking Series! This is an all-women weekend meant for beginner backpackers who want to escape the city and connect with nature. 🌌

What to Expect:

• Learn the fundamentals of backpacking
• Carry a properly fitted backpack
• Set up camp with experienced guides
• Cook and enjoy meals together
• Sleep under the stars at Harriman State Park
• Gain confidence for future outdoor adventures

Your Registration Includes:

• Round-trip carpool transportation from Jersey City/NYC

Is This Trip Right for You?
Perfect for those new to backpacking; however, participants should be:

• Ready to carry up to 35 lbs for about 1 mile on uneven trails
• Comfortable camping without running water, showers, electricity, or bathrooms (we use Leave No Trace bathroom practices)
• Enthusiastic and ready to embrace the outdoors! No prior backpacking experience is required, but a positive attitude, sense of adventure, and willingness to step outside your comfort zone will help you get the most out of the weekend.

Your ticket directly supports professional women outdoor guides in a historically male-dominated industry and promotes diversity in outdoor leadership.

🌿 Space is Limited:
Only 6 participants per trip ensure a personalized experience. Choose from these beginner-friendly weekends:

• July 25–26
• August 8–9
• August 15–16
• August 22–23

Meeting Details:
Campers will meet their guides in Jersey City on Saturday morning at 7:30am to drive up to Harriman State Park together (about an hour drive). You're welcome to meet the group at the designated Harriman State Park trailhead instead if more convenient; the trip price remains $225 regardless.

What to Bring:
One week before the trip, you'll receive a light packing list (mostly clothes & toiletries), learn how to measure your torso for the right backpack fit, and join a virtual Q&A with OurSpot to ask questions.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• 75% refund if canceled 7+ days before the trip.
• No refunds for cancellations less than 7 days prior.
• If Girls Gone Hiking cancels due to unsafe weather or unforeseen circumstances, you can transfer to another available weekend or receive a full refund.
• Transfers to other participants are allowed with advance notice.

Dogs: Not permitted on this trip for the safety and comfort of the group and pets.
