The cello serves as her canvas, evolving beyond traditional boundaries through the use of pressure, resonance, and transformation. Based in Brooklyn, Bordreuil's unique approach encompasses noise, improvisation, contemporary composition, and drone, using extended techniques and extreme amplification to reveal the physical properties of sound itself.

Her performances unfold patiently, blending fragile tones into dense currents of friction. Sustained frequencies emerge and dissolve, while a distinct emotional charge — melancholic and unsettling — runs beneath. 🌌

Bordreuil's diverse performances span concert halls, museums, DIY spaces, and site-specific installations, highlighting her attention to architecture and listening. She has graced stages at prestigious venues and festivals including MoMA PS1, The Whitney Museum, Berlin Atonal, Unsound, Le Guess Who?, and Cafe Oto. A sought-after collaborator, she has worked with artists including Laurel Halo, Kali Malone, Drew McDowall, Lee Ranaldo, and Tamio Shiraishi.

Support from Mimosa Baker 👤: Their work traces the oscillating movements between closeness and distance, feeling and numbness, emptiness and fullness. Through drones, distortion, and vocal loops, Baker explores the cyclical movements through which the void speaks and feeling germinates, emerges, and returns. Their work inhabits the tension between opposing forces, drawing their ends into moments of resonance.
