Practical Philosophy promotes the idea that philosophical exploration should be accessible to everyone, not just academics. Each week, we select a topic designed to enhance our critical thinking, communication skills, and sense of community. Let's embark on this collaborative journey of exploration together! đ
đ HOW DOES IT WORK?
Every week, we discuss a chosen topic that is shared in our WhatsApp group along with some prompt questions to kickstart the conversation. When our group exceeds 7-8 members, we break into smaller groups to ensure a more personal and flowing discussion, avoiding a lecture-like atmosphere.
General Meeting Agenda:
- Arrival (19:00-19:15): Participants mingle and get to know each other.
- Introduction (19:15-19:25): Overview of Practical Philosophy, this week's topic, and meeting guidelines.
- Small Group Discussions (19:25-20:45): Break into smaller groups to share ideas and engage in open discussions, guided by suggested jump-off questions (optional).
- Conclusion (20:45-21:00): Reconvene as a group for a summary of insights, with each smaller group sharing a brief conclusion. The organizer wraps up the session, and we end with a group photo!
- End of Meeting (21:00): Official meeting concludes, but feel free to stick around for informal chats!
