Join us for a unique celebration of Earth Day aboard the historic 1885 tall ship Wavertree at the South Street Seaport Museum! 🌍 This special event features a screening of filmmaker Jon Bowermaster's acclaimed documentary, The Keeper, showcasing the impactful life and legacy of John Lipscomb, who dedicated 25 years to patrolling the Hudson River.

🛶 **What to Expect: **
The Keeper depicts Lipscomb's adventures, during which he traveled over 80,000 miles by wooden boat to protect “America’s First River.” Discover the Hudson's complicated history, once a vital natural resource and later a dumping ground, facing numerous environmental challenges. Lipscomb emerges as an advocate, confronting pollution and celebrating significant victories along the way.

This film not only explores the Hudson's environmental history but also highlights the efforts of over 300 keepers around the world working tirelessly to preserve waterways. It's a powerful narrative of resilience and activism in our ongoing quest to safeguard our natural resources.

📽️ Following the screening, engage in a Q&A session with Jon Bowermaster himself and wrap up the evening with a delightful reception featuring wine and seltzer! 🍷
