Drink & Draw: Tove

As a part of this year's Prague Pride programme, you can join us for a Drink & Draw event in the Edison Filmhub Café, try one of our delicious beverages while attending a drawing masterclass led by Prague-based illustration studio DRAWetc! The theme: Moomins! The class will be followed by a screening of the Finnish biopic Tove. Note that the class will be led primarilly in English.

Tove / Zaida Bergroth / Finland, 2022 / 116 min. - Helsinki, 1945. The end of the war brings a sense of artistic and social freedom to painter Tove Jansson. While she focused her artistic dreams on painting, the enchanting stories about creatures called "Moomins" that she told to frightened children in air-raid shelters quickly took on a life of their own, bringing her international fame and financial freedom. Her desire for freedom is put to the test when she meets theatre director Vivica Bandler, who sparks an electric and consuming love within her. But as she begins to find her artistic identity, she discovers the true love she longs to be reciprocated. And only by finding her own way can she learn to be free.

• The drawing workshop starts at 18:00.
• At 20:00 there will be a screening of the film Tove in the hall.
