Welcome to the Lack of Words Writing Club! 🎉✨ This engaging club is hosted by Tyler, a partner of clbhuis, along with community member Juul. Each month kicks off with an intriguing writing prompt that inspires creativity!

📝 Write up to 1,000 words in any genre or style you prefer. Then, join us for an intimate gathering where we read our pieces aloud and offer each other constructive feedback. From whimsical tales to deep family sagas, our discussions transform friendly strangers into peculiar friends. The atmosphere is cozy, with snacks 🥯 on the table and wine 🍷 in hand.

Our Special Collaboration:

This month, we are thrilled to partner with Rebel Wines! The Rebel Wines team will curate a delightful red and white wine pairing that complements the theme of the event.

July Prompt: The Circle

Explore the essence of connection: Every circle has an inside and an outside. Imagine a shape created by joining hands: protection, pact, game, spell, rescue, or conspiracy. What unspoken agreements bind people together—whether through choice, chance, pressure, or love?

How to Participate:

• RSVP to secure your spot.
• Send your written piece (maximum of 1,000 words) to tyler.clbhuis@gmail.com by Tuesday July 23.

Event Program:

• 19:00 – Arrival: Enjoy provided snacks and drinks.
• 19:10 – Gather around the table. Printed copies of the texts will be distributed (laptops are not allowed).
• 19:15 – Quick introductions.
• 19:25 – Readings begin!
• 19:30 – Each participant shares their work. After each reading, we engage in meaningful discussions, exploring the significance of the piece, its strongest parts, and areas for improvement. Writers will also share their thought process and intentions.

Refund Policy:

Cancellations made more than one week in advance will receive a full refund, minus a €0.50 processing fee. Cancellations within one week will receive event credit for future CLBHUIS events. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 24 hours will not be eligible for refunds or credits.
