2000 metrů do Andrijivky & Libor Jelen
Oscar-winning director Mstyslav Chernov and his colleague Alex Babchenko of the Associated Press, fighting alongside one of the Ukrainian brigades during an unsuccessful offensive in 2023, cover the final two kilometers in the liberation of the village of Andriivka. Every step across the devastated landscape deepens the Ukrainian defenders’ sense that this war may never end for them. The film interweaves original documentary footage, emotionally intense videos from Ukrainian soldiers’ body cameras, and powerful moments of reflection.
The screening will be introduced and followed by a discussion with RNDr. Libor Jelen, PhD., a political geographer from the Faculty of Science at Charles University and an expert on the post-Soviet space.
