6 week pottery throwing course - Sept 2026 - £295

Join us for a fun and engaging 6-week pottery throwing course! 🏺

In a small group setting, you'll receive encouragement and support as you learn the art of throwing on the wheel. Each session includes step-by-step guidance and demonstrations covering all key processes:

• Wedging clay
• Centering the clay
• Pulling and shaping
• Trimming and adding foot rings

By the end of the course, you can expect to have created a cup, plate, vase, and more, ready for decoration and glazing! 🎉 With a variety of commercial glazes, tools, and resources available, you'll have everything you need to explore your creativity.

Course Details:

• Duration: 6 weeks, with each session lasting 2.5 hours plus 30 minutes for finishing and clean-up.
• Group Size: Maximum of 4 participants.
• Age Requirement: Participants must be over 15 years old.
• Complimentary: Tea, coffee, and biscuits provided! ☕🍪

Important Notes:

• Clay can be messy, so please wear old clothes and bring an apron.
• All materials and one piece firing allocation are included per session. Additional firing can be arranged for a supplementary charge.
• Expect around four weeks for the kiln process before your pieces are ready for collection.
