What You'll Learn:

• Drumming: Foundational techniques from Bafana and Solo. Bring your own djembe or rent one (limited availability).
• Vocal & Rhythm: Explore the connection between voice and rhythm in African music.
• Marimba & West African Technique: Discover marimba sounds and rhythms with expert guidance.

About the Instructors:

• Bafana Nhlapo (South Africa): Known for his unique industrial percussion style, Bafana combines Zulu roots with funk, jazz, and rock. His powerful falsetto transcends language.
• Solo Diarra (Burkina Faso): A Griot from a family of traditional storytellers, Solo blends Griot traditions with contemporary afrobeat and Manding sounds, offering hope and strength through music.
