As the seasons change and temperatures drop, the skies fill with the enchanting orange-and-black monarch butterflies on their journey south. Covering up to 3,000 miles, these incredible creatures connect communities across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
You are warmly invited to join The Nature Conservancy in Indiana for the 9th Annual Monarch Butterfly Festival—a delightful celebration dedicated to these amazing insects! Enjoy a day packed with educational exhibits, engaging activities, lively music, captivating art, dance performances, and delicious food.

This free event is open to everyone and would not be possible without the support of our gracious host, the City of East Chicago, alongside our partners: Audubon Great Lakes, Field Museum, Save the Dunes, Shirley Heinze Land Trust, and the Wild Ones Chapter at Gibson Woods. Together, let's commemorate the beloved monarch butterfly and the inspiration they bring to our lives!
