👨🎨 About the Instructor — Andrew Butcher
Andrew Butcher is a computational and new media artist, as well as a creative technologist deeply embedded in the Bay Area TouchDesigner community. He teaches workshops across the East Bay and serves as the current Artist in Residence at California College of the Arts.
Andrew's practice investigates how technology reshapes our perception of space and human connection — through interactive installations, audiovisual performances, and video games. His work dives into themes of world-building, speculative generative design, and the manipulation of scale.
Using generative software, machine learning, and custom code, he reimagines classical artistic themes — light, space, form, color — through a contemporary technological lens.
