Beyond Monogamy and Heteronormativity - Group Discussion

Om evenemanget

Join us for an engaging evening dedicated to exploring the intersections of queerness, ethical non-monogamy, and intentional relationships as we celebrate Pride Month! 🎉

Many of us carry preconceived notions about what relationships ought to be: who to love, how many partners to have, the essence of commitment, and which forms of intimacy hold the most value. Both queer and ethical non-monogamy (ENM) communities have always pushed back against these standards, creating environments where diverse connections, friendships, and chosen families can thrive. ❤️

Together, we will delve into:

  • 🎭 Relationship norms and expectations
  • 🤝 Chosen families and community care
  • 🔥 Autonomy, jealousy, and communication
  • 💖 The myriad ways we can forge meaningful connections outside traditional frameworks

We will also contemplate key questions:

  • If queerness allows us to rethink who we can love, does ENM prompt us to reconsider how we love?
  • Why do queer and ENM communities frequently engage in dialogue with one another?
  • Do both share a profound challenge to conventional relationship norms, or simply possess a history of intersection?
  • When we start to question one societal script, does it become easier to challenge others?

Rather than simply debating the ideal relationship structure, we aim to foster an environment for exploring the rich diversity of love, connection, and support that exists among us. 🌍

Whether you identify as queer, ENM, or are merely curious, all are welcome to engage in this essential conversation! 🗣️
