Billion Oyster Non Sibi Project with Edwin F. Diaz ’07

Join us for a hands-on volunteer experience with the Billion Oyster Project! 🌟 Help rejuvenate New York Harbor by engaging in activities like:

• Cleaning shell substrate
• Fabricating reef balls
• Maintaining the shell pile for the busy season ahead

Volunteers aged 18 and older are welcome, and must sign the participant waiver before arriving. 🙌 A variety of tasks awaits you, including:

• Washing, shaking, and loading shells to be seeded with juvenile oysters 🦪
• Mixing eco-concrete and filling molds to create new reef structures 🏗️
• Clearing debris and organizing materials in the shell pile area 🚧

Your efforts will significantly contribute to restoring New York Harbor's oyster population through impactful volunteer work!

📍 The project will occur on Governors Island. Ferry tickets from Battery Maritime Building (10 South St. Slip 7) will be provided to registered volunteers. 🚢
