COEO, BENJAMIN FRÖLICH & TFTF: 20 YEARS Permanent Vacation

Lorsque Tom Bioly et Benjamin Fröhlich ont fondé le label Permanent Vacation à Munich en 2006, ils n’auraient sans doute jamais imaginé l’importance que prendrait ce label sur la scène internationale de la musique électronique près de 20 ans plus tard. Avec un style oscillant entre les influences disco / nu-disco, house, baléare, cosmic disco et italo-disco — effleurant parfois la néo-trance ou l’indie dance —, le label n’a jamais pu être rangé dans une seule catégorie. Au contraire, Permanent Vacation a toujours adopté une approche éclectique de la musique de club. Des artistes tels que Lauer, Todd Terje, Massimiliano Pagliara, DMX Krew, John Talabot et bien d’autres ont sorti des titres sur le label, contribuant ainsi à façonner et à affiner son son distinctif au fil des ans. Le 5 juin, Permanent Vacation fera escale à La Java à Paris pour fêter son 20e anniversaire en grande pompe.

When Tom Bioly and Benjamin Fröhlich founded the label Permanent Vacation in Munich in 2006, they could hardly have imagined the relevance the label would gain in the international electronic music scene almost 20 years later. Stylistically somewhere between Disco / Nu-Disco, House, Balearic, Cosmic Disco, and Italo-Disco influences—occasionally touching Neo-Trance or Indie Dance—the label has never fit neatly into a single category. Instead, Permanent Vacation has always embraced an eclectic approach to club music. Artists such as Lauer, Todd Terje, Massimiliano Pagliara, DMX Krew, John Talabot and many others have released music on the label, helping to shape and refine its distinctive sound over the years. On June 5th Permanent Vacation stops at La Java in Paris to celebrate its 20th anniversary in style !
