🌏 Explore the Wonders of Asia!
Discover the Guimet Museum—the national museum of Asian arts—established in 1889 and renowned for holding the most extensive collection of Asian arts globally, with over 60,000 works spanning 7,000 years of history. 🖼️ From Afghanistan to Japan, including India, China, Korea, and Southeast Asia, the museum showcases a stunning array of paintings, sculptures, porcelain, prints, textiles, photographs, and precious artifacts.

The museum invites you on an extraordinary journey through diverse Asian cultures, religions, and philosophies. 🕌 Situated across three locations in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the historic building at Place d'Iéna features 5,500 m² of permanent exhibition halls, a beautiful historical library, an auditorium with 276 seats, a lively program of concerts, films, theater, conferences, and literary meetups, as well as a restaurant and a panoramic terrace spread over three levels.

Special Temporary Exhibits:

  • K-Beauty: The Korean Beauty Phenomenon (March 18 - July 6, 2026): From 18th-century roots to the K-Pop wave, delve into the origins of this cultural powerhouse. Discover how South Korea has influenced global trends and established a unique beauty aesthetic that transcends mere cosmetics, fostering harmony and sophistication.

  • Silla: Gold and the Sacred (May 20 - August 31, 2026): A groundbreaking exhibition on the Silla kingdom (57 BC - 935 AD), in collaboration with the Gyeongju National Museum and other museums. This remarkable civilization is showcased for the first time in Europe.

  • The historic furniture collection at Hôtel d'Heidelbach

The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM (closed on Tuesdays and specific public holidays).
