The Great Mississippi Flood impacts up to 700,000 Americans, and the tragic execution of Italian anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti sends shockwaves through the nation. Mount Rushmore gets its first chisel, and the silent film Wings makes history as the only of its kind to win an Academy Award.

However, amidst the glitz and glamour, a dark prophecy looms. A young psychic, Paul LeMond, has glimpsed a disturbing future that has shattered his sanity.
