Downpatrick Diesel Gala 2026

Join us for the much-anticipated Downpatrick Diesel Gala 2026! This year's event is set in a new summer timeslot on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend. We’re pulling out all the stops to top last year's surprises!

Event Highlights:

• 🚍 Cab rides within the station limits to kick things off!
• 🚂 Lineside run-past opportunities for incredible views!
• 📸 Guided trackside access to snap some fantastic photographs during station stops.

  • The 450 class railcar
• 🎁 Cab ride experiences for randomly selected attendees.
• 🚄 Enjoy multiple trips to and from Inch Abbey along our North Line (note: the South Line is unavailable due to engineering work).
• ⚠️ Please be aware that A39R will not be available this year due to repairs that won't be completed in time.
