Dreamscape

In an age of hyperdigital noise, certain music doesn't survive — too slow, too searching, too resistant to the feed. Dreamscape makes space for that kind of attention: to listening, to presence, to the forms of community that can still appear through sound.

For its first event outside Estonia, Dreamscape comes to kwia, a Kreuzberg listening bar where guests take off their shoes at the door, sink into carpeted floors, and let the music do what music rarely gets to do anymore.

The programme brings together artists from the Estonian experimental circuit, with a strong focus on live performance. How far can a single mixer and a few cables take you? What opens up when an octave is divided into 31 notes? The performers here work at the edges of electronic music: through improvisation, microtonality, no-input mixing, and deep atmospheres. The kind of music, in other words, that asks something of a room. kwia is a room that knows how to answer.
