🌟 The Lineup
🎭 Headliners:
Khalid Geire 🇰🇪 (Kenya/Sweden)
Khalid Aden Geire (born February 16, 1969 in Nairobi, Kenya) is a Swedish actor and comedian — widely regarded as the first Black stand-up comedian on Swedish television. His life story is remarkable: he arrived in Sweden after being involuntarily drafted into the military during the Somali civil war, where he was shot and spent over a month in hospital. Once in Sweden, he studied theatre in Halland, moved to Helsingborg, and founded Teater 2000, which earned the prestigious Helsingborg Culture Prize. He has appeared on Stockholm Live and in the film Wallander – The African.
Henrik Elmér 🇸🇪 (Sweden)
Born November 5, 1966 in Stockholm, Henrik Elmér is a celebrated Swedish stand-up comedian who broke through with Släng dig i brunnen in the late 1990s. He has since appeared on Räkfrossa, Stockholm Live, Big Words, and Babben & Co, and has performed extensively at comedy clubs across England. In 2006, he performed an English-language show — The Sweirdish Mind of Henrik Elmer — at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which eventually inspired the 2012 Swedish feature film The Meaning of Hugo, in which he starred. His comedy explores absurd, dark humour, obsessive thoughts, alienation, and surreal dreamlike wordplay. He was awarded the Bubben Prize in 1999.
