Esther Ervin: Gardening for the Soul

Om evenemanget

Join us at the Miller Library for an inspiring exhibition featuring the work of artist Esther Ervin!

About the Exhibition:
Esther’s creations encompass a variety of mediums including metal work, ceramics, sculpture, and fiber. Following her completion of the Black and Indigenous People’s Book Arts Residency at Editions Studio, she is now focusing on book and print arts, with a special emphasis on botanical contact prints.

📚 Spotlight on 'Gardening for the Soul':
This enchanting display includes hand-bound artist books featuring 16 hand-tinted etchings, beautifully paired with insightful quotes from the unpublished memoir of James W. Washington, a notable artist in the Northwest School. Esther has been closely involved with the foundation in honor of Dr. Washington for over two decades.
