Founder Poker Networking — a Spice King poker night!
I'm co-hosting with Lisa Yan (https://www.linkedin.com/in/thelisayan/) — a founder herself! She won the Pear poker tournament and she's a known poker shark.
Most poker nights sit you at one table with the same eight people all night. We do the opposite. Every 55 minutes the tables break and reshuffle — so by the end of the night you've played, talked, and traded war stories with a whole room of founders, operators, and investors, not just whoever you drew first. Halfway through, everyone stops for a mandatory 30-minute break: real food, no cards, just the conversations that were already heating up at the table.
It's all cash games — sit down when you want, cash out when you want, play sharp or play loose. OR NOT PLAY AT ALL! The pot isn't the point. The point is that you walk out with 7–10 people worth texting on Monday: your next co-founder, angel, design partner, or friend.
HOW TO REGISTER
If you're an investor, you must bring a founder. If you're a founder, you must bring an investor. Fill their name when you register.
SCHEDULE
Here's the schedule cleaned up and framed the way a founder reads it — where every block has an obvious purpose:
Founder Poker Club — Run of Night
The whole night runs on PokerBank, the platform we're building for live poker, so you'll catch it in action while you're at it. But mostly it's a room engineered to turn strangers into your network.
Come for the cards. Leave with the network.
