Good To Be Seen Artist Talk

Good To Be Seen Artist Talk

Om evenemanget

Join us for a conversation exploring Good to Be Seen, the inaugural exhibition of The Creatives Project's Curatorial Fellowship.

Curator Sidney Pettice [@sidneyjp_] will be joined by featured artists Rita Harper [@_rita.p], Montenez Lowery [@montenez.l], and Chip Moody [@chip.moody] for a discussion on photography, public art, storytelling, and the ideas behind the exhibition.

The conversation will be moderated by Jamaal Barber [@JBarberStudio], founder and host of [@studionoizepodcast], and recorded live for a future Studio Noize Podcast episode.

Good to Be Seen transforms six digital billboards throughout Downtown Atlanta into a public gallery, showcasing contemporary photography that reflects Black Southern life. The exhibition celebrates moments of care, kinship, resilience, and belonging, inviting residents and visitors to encounter deeply personal stories that highlight the richness and complexity of Atlanta's communities.

Curated by Sidney Pettice, this exhibition asks what it means to be seen in public space. By placing these works outside traditional galleries, it expands access to contemporary art and encourages meaningful encounters with the people, places, and stories that shape our city.
