Ground Breaking Ceremony: Sylacauga Recreation Center

Join us for the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the new Sylacauga Recreation Center! 🎉

📍 Location: Behind Chevron gas station at Highway 21, North Norton Avenue, and Central Avenue

This long-awaited event marks the beginning of a project that has been in the works since 2022, following four years of research and planning. The new Recreation Center will feature:

• 🏀 Two basketball courts (convertible to four volleyball courts)
• 🏋️‍♂️ A fully equipped fitness center with cardio equipment, strength machines, and free weights
• 🚶‍♀️ An indoor walking track for year-round exercise
• 🏊‍♂️ An eight-lane swimming pool for lap and competitive swimming
• 🌊 A separate 3½-foot-deep instructional pool for swim lessons and therapy programs
• 🚿 Locker rooms with showers
• 🍔 A concession area for tournaments and special events
• 🏢 Two multi-purpose meeting rooms for community gatherings and classes

Construction will commence shortly after the ceremony, with an expected completion time of approximately two years.
