The film begins at19:00**.**Please note that the film is mostly in Spanish, and subtitled in Czech.**The film, directed by filmmaker Simón Mesa Soto, premiered at the Un Certain Regard section of Cannes Film Festival in 2025, where it was awarded the section's Jury Prize. The film follows Oscar, whose obsession with poetry has brought him no glory. Aging and erratic, he has succumbed to the cliché of the poet in the shadows. Meeting Yurlady, a humble teenager, brings some light to his days, but dragging her into the world of poets may not be the right path.The screening will be enhanced by the energetic slam poetry of Vašek z Aše—a bronze medalist at the European Championships and two-time Czech runner-up. After the screening, the cinema will be filled with Latin rhythms ranging from Bad Bunny to Shakira, with DJ Vít behind the decks. 🎶
