🗓️ Weekly Schedule:
Every Sunday, from Memorial Day to Labor Day (May 25 – August 31, 2025).
Note: No Open House on Sunday, July 13. Instead, we’ll host it a day earlier on Saturday, July 12, for City of Water Day.

🕘 Signup Details:
Signup starts in person at 9 a.m. for three guided “waves” on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t forget to return to the boathouse on time or risk forfeiting your spot!

Wave Times:

• WAVE 1: Arrive at 9:45 a.m., Launch at 10 a.m.
• WAVE 2: Arrive at 10:30 a.m., Launch at 10:45 a.m.
• WAVE 3: Arrive at 11:15 a.m., Launch at 11:30 a.m.

🚣 What to Expect:
Experience kayaking on one of our 12 SOTs (sit-on-tops) or in a tandem kayak (for two). You can paddle with your family, friends, or meet new people in our “canoemaran,” fitting up to six guests plus two ICC “Turtles” (members) comfortably.

👥 Details to Keep in Mind:

• All participants must be able to swim.
• Minimum age is 8 years. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Whether a minor can paddle depends on that day’s conditions and the discretion of the running club member.
• We provide the boat, paddle, and PFD (life vest). No prior paddling experience is necessary!
• Dress in shoes and clothes that can get wet.
• Limit valuables; leave them at the boathouse or bring a waterproof bag. ICC is not responsible for lost items.
• No pets allowed at the Open House.

Since the inception of Open House in 2002, the club has proudly offered the only walk-up kayaking program in Northern Manhattan, usually welcoming over 1,000 guests every summer.
