On 16. února, the Jazz Dock Orchestra will showcase the incredible talent of guest vocalist Veronika Vítová in a special concert dedicated to the legendary Brazilian composer Antônio Carlos Jobim.
Under the artistic direction of Andy Schofield, expect original arrangements that feature both Jobim's timeless classics and some hidden gems from his extensive repertoire.
🎵 About Jobim: One of the most significant figures in 20th-century music, Jobim is a co-creator of the bossa nova style that has greatly influenced modern jazz and popular music across the globe. His compositions, known for their gentle melodies and rich harmonies, have become jazz standards performed by the world's greatest musicians.
In addition to Jobim's works, the programme will also include compositions by Bill Evans and other renowned artists, maintaining a Latin American flavor while allowing Veronika to shine as a dynamic vocalist, both in solos and as an integral part of the orchestra.
