Ken Burns Documentary Panel and Discussion

Join Twin Cities PBS and the Minnesota Historical Society for an engaging evening centered around Ken Burns’ documentary, THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. This six-part, 12-hour series delves into America's founding struggle during the eight-year War for Independence.

The night begins with a short overview screening of the film (TRT 26m, 30s), setting the stage for a deeper dialogue about influential figures, significant ideas, and pivotal conflicts that shaped the nation. A panel of historians will discuss the national and local significance of the Revolution, providing new insights on this familiar narrative.

👥 The event will conclude with a moderated discussion and audience Q&A, offering everyone a chance to engage directly with the themes of the film and reflect on the ongoing legacy of the American Revolution in our understanding of history today.
