You are warmly invited to the Annual Lantern Lighting Ceremony at the beautiful Historic Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum. This FREE community event promises an enchanting evening filled with beauty, entertainment, and remembrance for all ages.

Gathering, lantern preparation & entertainment

This is a FAMILY event! Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs as you relax amidst the stunning grounds while enjoying the delightful sounds of the Pete Wagner Orchestra.

✨ Prepare a personalized lantern by inscribing your own words of remembrance and hope on specially designed lanterns. Your messages of love, peace, and hope will shine brightly as they are launched onto Willow Water Lake.
Don’t forget to stop by our Information Tent to share the names of your loved ones. All names will be lovingly read aloud before the lantern launch.
Capture the moment with a photo alongside your lantern, and remember to collect your complimentary copy!

🕝 Lantern Lighting Ceremony:
Time: 19:30 - 20:00
At dusk, we will gather at the shoreline for a simple yet beautiful ceremony. As candles are lit, the lanterns will gracefully float across the lake, illuminating the night with glimmering candlelight.

🌺 A $5.00 tax-deductible donation to the Spring Grove Heritage Foundation is requested for each lantern.
Entertainment and parking are complimentary. Food will be available for a nominal charge.
🚫 Please leave pets at home for everyone's comfort.
Ample parking is available, along with shuttle service for individuals with disabilities from designated parking areas to the lake complex.
